In her spare time Dr. Phillips enjoys swimming, running, biking, and competing in triathlons. She and her two young sons are proud to call Sugarland home. They have 2 dogs and love running with them and going to the beach.
Biography
Dr. Lauren Phillips, MD, FACOG, is a Houston native. She graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University and earned her MD at the University of Texas at Houston where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. After 6 years in Dallas, she moved back to Houston in February of 2012.
Compassionate and personalized health care is Dr. Lauren Phillips motto. At Sugar Land Women’s Care, she gives patients the individualized attention they deserve in a warm and welcoming environment. As a mom, she is passionate about providing excellent prenatal care for both high and low-risk pregnancies. She also specializes in minimally invasive surgery, office procedures, hormone and menopause management, and fertility. She performs Da Vinci robotic surgery at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land hospital. Dr. Phillips is taking new patients of all ages.
Dr. Phillips has a wide variety of clinical interests and particularly enjoys minimally invasive surgery, in-office procedures, obstetrics, abnormal pap smears, adolescent gynecology, menopausal symptom management, hormones, and infertility. She and her team believe that compassion and education are integral to providing care to women of all ages. Dr. Phillips enjoys learning and mastering cutting-edge surgical techniques that benefit her patients. As a mom, Dr. Phillips enjoys being a woman’s advocate during her pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum care. She accepts both normal and high-risk pregnancies.
